My Graduation in Mostly Pictures

The commencement ceremony happened to fall on Father's Day which I thought was kind of odd but it turned out to be a great day. I spent the day with family which included my Dad and my Grandma. Even though it was warm out there, I am glad that I decided to participate in  the ceremony and I know that my Dad was proud of me. He always is.
If you are thinking about going back to school to get your degree, I strongly encourage you to do it.  At first I was intimidated to go back and get my Master's degree but if you have the drive and are willing to dedicate the time then it's a piece of cake. It is kind of like running when you think about it. We are capable of so much more than we ever thought!

    1. Thank you Lisa. You cannot go wrong with a good education and I am trying to teach that to my kids. My daughter went on to get her BA and I hope that my son will do the same even though he is not a big fan of homework at the current time!

    1. Thank you Becky! It was stressful at times balancing a family, full-time job and school. Without the support from my family it would not have been possible!

I think there was about a 7 yr span between my undergrad and grad school. Very glad I went back!

    1. Thank you! Everyone really likes that picture and it's one of my favorites. I am glad I decided to do it too but it was sure hot out there! I was sweating like crazy but it was worth it.

  7. Great family pics!

I finished my Masters at ULV in 2009. It was such an amazing experience, I say I'd keep going to school if it would be with my same cohort and instructors. I've always been such a proponent of higher education, but it's kind of tough lately when the job market doesn't necessarily work in your favor just because of a degree.

    1. I agree with you! It seems like the job market gets more and more competitive. My employer offers tuition reimbursement so that provided me the opportunity to go back to school. I am glad that I did it!
