Three Things Thursday

It has been a while since I have done a "Three Things Thursday" post so this will be my first one for 2013.

1) After my big win in Las Vegas we gave into the Mouse and decided to upgrade our Disneyland hopper tickets to annual passes. It was a difference of $54.00 per person so we decided to go for it. We absolutely love Cars Land and our favorite ride is the Radiator Springs Racers. It is so much fun! I also plan to get some use out of this pass the weekend of the Disneyland Half Marathon!
2)  I love this Year End Report that DailyMile sends out but it is kind of confusing if you are tracking how many miles you run in a year. This Year End Report includes all miles from cycling, elliptical etc. I think I only ran 883 mile and the rest was elliptical, walking and other activities. In any case, I am going to attempt 1200 miles this year and need to figure out a way to log my other activities so I can use DailyMile just for running miles only.
 3) I am determined to get my Beach Cities Challenge medal this year! I am signed up for two of the three races that are needed to complete the series. I am holding off on signing up for Long Beach in October since I am not sure if I want to run the half or the full. After the super hot summer we had in 2012, I am tempted to go for the half since training in the summer heat was brutal!

  1. I feel the same way about DM, so I just stopped logging mileage for any other workout I do. I don't care about those miles anyway, so I just started inputting time only for 2013 for anything other than running.

    1. I was going to try doing time only to see if that fixed the problem but you answered it for me! Thank you! I think I got all excited thinking that I was about to reach 1000 miles and then I had to break the bad news to myself.

  2. Oh bummer with DM!!! What if you just put the time in that you did other activities? That way it wouldn't log miles it would just log time.

    1. I think that you are right Nancy. I am going to log time and no miles this year. Hope you have a great year!

  3. I think that's a great idea upgrading to annual passes. Hopefully you guys will be able to get lots of use out of the passes.

    1. I plan on getting some use out of these passes since the prices have gone way up in the past year!

  4. 1200 miles!!! That is an amazing goal for the year. I never track my mileage and I should totally start... especially because I have all these race plans for this year. My runs are so random! Maybe we will run a race together! A bunch of bloggers are doing Chicago in October. I might do it and you should too!!!!

    1. Chicago sounds like fun! I might have to consider running it. Good luck with your running this year. You have lots of great goals that I can't wait to see you reach!
