Friday the 13th: Are You Superstitious?

Yesterday, in the middle of the day, I realized that it would be Friday the 13th today.  I don't consider myself superstitious but then again maybe I am.  I try to avoid all of the things that people say will bring you bad luck (breaking a mirror, walking under ladders, putting shoes on a table, etc.) but if I accidentally do one of those things I don't really worry about it.

I am off today and it's raining. I don't mind the rain but hate driving in it because there are some crazy drivers in California. I am going to start my day by going to the gym for a date with my wonderful friend the dreadmill.  I am going to see if I am able to push just a little bit more today.  I get excited when I am trying to take things to another level but I get nervous too! Have a great day!

Are you superstitious?

  1. I'm super superstitious with sports and running...not with dates though. I'm constantly trying to recreate a great run through my outfit or whatever!! Hope the treadmill was good to you!

    1. I think I do the same kind of thing with races so maybe I am more superstitious than I want to admit!

  2. I'm not usually superstitious, but I did find myself being extra conscientious on the highway this morning. I found myself thinking, "Whoa, today would not be the best day to get a ticket". So I guess I do have a little bit of superstition in me!

    1. I was driving pretty safely on Friday the 13th thinking that I would get a ticker and then I would have to blame it on the 13th! Keep cool in Boston!

  3. I'm superstitious about some things (like not wearing the race T-shirt before I finish the race), but not others. I feel sorry for black cats and don't fret about the 13th--it might even be a lucky number for some people. I hope your dreadmill date is a lucky one. :^)

  4. I'm not superstitious at all!!

I hope you had a fun gym date! I love being able to work out with others. It's so motivating. Hope the dreamill wasn't so dreadful and that you were able to push yourself a little more like you planned! miss you, Sandy! xoxo
